A few words about Willy Juttner:

  • he was a painter and illustrator,
  • he illustrated several books but also created postcards and posters,
  • he had several exhibitions of his paintings in Munich,
  • he was very skillful at making the best of a limited number of colors used at printing due to their cost (he was particularly fond of green paints).

This book is the first volume in a complete series of four. Other titles are:

Volume 2: Of happy and troubled people (illustrated by Hans Looschen)
Volume 3: Of smart and clumsy fellows (illustrated by Kurt Lange)
Volume 4: Of strange and funny owls (illustrated by Franz Wacik)

We’ll add more if and when available.
